Letting her take the lead means that you're running to catch up with her more often than not as she pulls you from stand to stand, eyes sparkling as she takes in the colors and the sounds and the infectious air of excitement permeating the area. She makes it so, so easy for you to love her.

Hermione thought it was all a stupid idea at first, singing stupid songs and learning stupid lyrics and playing stupid chords in Harry's parents' garage, until they all found themselves playing together in front of 2000 people in wizard festivals. Becoming a rockstar wasn't on Hermione's bingo card.
She could tolerate Harry's boyfriend playing in her band. Draco was a little shit, but he was manageable. But Pansy Parkinson? Hell no! Even if she can play bass like a goddess, even if her black hair shines, even if her dark eyes pierce through Hermione's soul, even if her lips are... somewhat alluring. Hermione really wished Pansy wasn't THAT good with the bass. She also wished Ron didn't dump her, just like she also wished Pansy would stop hanging around in their shared flat wearing nothing but a towel.
Oh, well. They liked each other's violence. "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer."
