"Just like that, all of Kirishima’s wide eyed passion came crashing down around him. He stood, watching his friends crowding into each other’s space as they read the menu, completely oblivious to his words and the sudden stinging in his eyes. Belatedly, he realized Monoma was still watching him, obviously waiting for a response.
“Yeah, I guess I get a little carried away sometimes,” he said, forcing a laugh and rubbing the back of his neck self consciously. “My bad.”"
After Monoma gives Kirishima a harsh reality check, the latter realizes that he really needs to stop bugging his friends with his Crimson Riot tangents. As hard as he tries to pretend it isn't a big deal, Bakugou catches on, and won't stop until Kirishima explains why he's so upset.

Kirishima takes a breath. He realizes, suddenly, that he’d stopped altogether, and gulps in the next several inhales as he hits the streets at a hurried pace. The babble keeps up, the voices change, but no one is talking. He can hear them like they’re speaking directly into his ears, but the lips that move don’t match up with the words.
It hits him: He’s not hearing their voices, then. A sick feeling curls in his guts.

Instead, he opens his own gym, Riot Work Outs, and he's really damn proud of it.
One day, Pro Hero Dynamight is in his gym, signing up for a membership, and Eijirou contemplates telling him that he's using the equipment wrong, but also, what right does he have to correct an actual Hero?
He corrects him. Dynamight still keeps coming back.
