So… since I have no imagination and I can only draw pretty things I interpreted the AU prompt as in “What if it was Shuri who was Queen of Talokan, Water Pantheress etc. and not Namor” … I guess Namor is king of Wakanda in this AU… Like he fell in love with her when he saw her coming out of the water or something… Maybe ? Did I mention I had no imagination ? Anyways, @ectobum… hope you like it buddy.

The woman ties the end of Namor’s clothes to Shuri’s, then prays. Or, Shuri thinks it’s praying, except that the woman’s head bends towards Namor. It’s like if I got married to Bast, Shuri realizes, and it’s a miracle she doesn’t burst into laughter right then and there, at her own wedding, thirty-thousand feet under the sea.
