To commemorate the end of the Hundred Years' War and to ensure nothing like that ever happens again, the Four Nations agree to hold a Summit every year. Two weeks of political talks, cultural immersion and utter harmony. As Fire Lord, Zuko is in charge of hosting the first, set in the Fire Nation capital. As war-heroes, Katara, Sokka, Toph, Suki and of course Aang are among the guests.
However, as Katara finds herself yearning for a life beyond that of the Avatar's faithful companion, it appears that politics will not be the only turbulent waters they have to navigate.

Draco slumped in his high backed wing chair, bouncing his leg beneath his desk. He pinched the bridge of his nose with his eyes squeezed shut, as if in doing so it would rid him of his current predicament. Anxiety churned low in his stomach, a sensation he rarely ever felt.
Someone had hexed him. No, cursed him. A subtle enchantment cast upon him for public humiliation. That was the only logical explanation.

The class throws her for a loop, and she spends long hours with the TA, a sweet guy named Haru. Then Haru is out sick, and his inscrutable roommate Zuko fills in for him. Zuko is handsome in a sharp sort of way, if you're into arrogant self-centered assholes, which she's not. Only, he's an excellent teacher, and when he's not being a jerk he is unbearably kind, and he captivates her in a way she can't explain. He throws her for a loop, just like O-Chem, only not like O-Chem at all.
