Summary
Once again, Jeongguk felt that familiar warmth spread throughout his body.
It was silent, and both of their eyes were closed, but they were both awake, Jeongguk knew, breathing too fast to indicate sleep. Jeongguk wasn’t sure if he could.
His hunch was confirmed when only seconds later, the two heard the tell-tale sounds of fireworks and cheering from their neighbors. Taehyung squirmed—he never liked fireworks. He pulled Jeongguk closer to him and visibly relaxed into his chest. Jeongguk let out a little breath of relief.
He whispered into the de-energized air, “Happy New Year, hyung.”
He couldn’t have been sure, but he thought he heard a muffled, “You too, Jeonggukkie,” in staccato vibrations against his chest.

Summary
Taehyung can’t sleep. He also can’t say anything to Jeongguk, the boy he may or may not be harboring feelings for and is coincidentally sharing a bed with for an episode of Bon Voyage. But he forgets that this is Jeongguk, the boy who’s always been there for him, one of his best friends, who cares for him no matter what.
