“D’you know when we have training with Sergeant MacTavish again?” He asked the other private at his side, a redhead named James who he’d gotten pretty close to since he’d transferred to base.
He’d hoped his tone had been casual, but James clocked his interest immediately.
“Ohhh, no you don’t,” he hissed sharply, leaning in and grabbing Charlie by the bicep as they both glanced across the mess at Soap. “Crushing on COs is fine, but not that one.”

Summary
When Soap keeps coming back from leave covered in bruises, it's clear there's something wrong. It's down to Ghost to figure out what's going on - and how to help Soap. He's out of his depth but it becomes clear that he's Soap's only hope. Can he help him, and can Soap heal from what's been done to him?
(Spoiler alert - the answer is yes. We're all about the happy endings here, folks!)
Picks up just after the events in Verdansk, 2019, weaves through canon and ultimately serves as a fix it for the canon ending of MWIII.

Summary
What should have been a quick in-and-out mission turned into a multi-day trek after a failed exfil. Soap and Ghost now find themselves stranded in the Caucasus mountains, alone in enemy territory with limited resources, and no near end in sight. Their bond will be tested against the stresses of survival and war. Succeed, and they guarantee their freedom. Fail, and they die at the hands of the enemy.
This is work together or die together.
