Summary
The scent of sun, sweat, joy, cheap laundry detergent, and something sweet that was inextricably Stiles, hit him like a truck going a hundred miles per hour. Relief washed over the anxiousness of the last few days, easing the tension in his shoulders like it had never existed. His animalistic side purred at the feel of friend, pack, family.

Derek flies off the handle at Stiles after Scott's betrayal, only to realize that Stiles is both injured and looking to check on how he is doing. They don't have a chance to reconcile as they are both captured by hunters working under Gerard. They turn the alpha feral in order to get him to kill Stiles but something different happens instead, leaving the two boys to work out their feelings and issues while recovering from the encounter and trying to rebuild the Hale pack.
