Summary
Keep your head down. Don't talk to the others. Stay in your cell, don't yell, don't tell anyone how angry you are. Comply in their training exercises, excel in the arena. Don't scream when they plunge needles into you, don't cry, don't beg for your mamá. You take everything they give you and you make yourself stronger.
After five months' imprisonment, Lance is finally rescued from the galra's grip - but something about him has changed. In fact, almost everything has changed, and the paladins do not know how to reverse it, and truly get their friend back. Is it possible? And does Lance even care enough to cooperate?Series

Summary
Lance doesn't have a thing, a gimmick, nothing to elevate him to the starry heights everyone else seems to occupy... He thought maybe with the shooting thing he could get a leg up that ladder, but... Well, it's nothing compared to everyone else. A foot off the ground instead of up in the sky. But this could be it. The Guy That Finds Shiro. That's not so bad.
Once Shiro disappears, it becomes clear to the paladins that in order to continue their mission against the galra and find Shiro, they must select a new paladin to lead them...but no one expects Lance to be chosen by the black lion - least of all Lance himself. Scrambling to keep his composure despite the growing pressure, Lance must find a way to lead his friends without trouble, protect other planets from the galra, and track down their original black paladin, despite those, with or against him, who stand in his way.

Summary
So typical. So fucking typical, that Lance is the youngest and worst of his siblings, and then the kids come along and he isn't even the cutest anymore, and he only made fighter pilot because perfect fucking Keith dropped out and even when he piloted a lion he didn't have a thing like the others, and now he can't even have Blue. Maybe he was the one to suggest it, but he was barrelling towards this point all along; rock fucking bottom.
When it becomes clear that Allura is a better pilot than him, Lance steps down as the Blue Paladin. It is, after all, the obvious decision. Lance is, and has always been, the afterthought.
But who needs an afterthought?

Summary
Jean spent almost half his life in the Nest, property of the Moriyamas, number three in Riko's Perfect Court, and one of the finest backliners in college exy. It is a little difficult to hand him a flower without him looking for the knife it hides.
It is a little difficult for him to believe he has any worth at all outside of exy, but Jeremy Knox is nothing if not persistent, and optimistic, and frustratingly kind-hearted.
A look at Jean's transition to the Trojans, and the awkward, painful blossoming of a relationship.

Summary
It starts like this: David and Jack are the bestest of best friends, so Jack decides that when he is in sudden need of a fake romantic partner, David will suffice.
Except it starts differently for David: he's young and he catches Jack in the library now and again drawing for art class, and one day Jack fights off his bullies and becomes his friend, and thus begins the slow descent of David falling in love with him.
But Jack's his best friend. David can't exactly say no, can he?

Summary
The Hell dreams have been getting worse. Ever since Kevin Price strode into Connor's life, they've been getting worse, so bad that he resolves that the only solution is to stop sleeping.
It's a temporary solution. Connor knew it wouldn't last forever. He didn't think, however, that Kevin would be by Connor's side when he awoke from the Hell dream, didn't think Kevin would care so much when he woke up screaming, or wonder why he was still crying.
He didn't think anyone would care at all. He's not sure he understands it.

Summary
After their latest expedition, the Survey Corps hold a party for their remaining soldiers: Jean just wants to have a good time, but what he sees as innocent flirting becomes something much darker than he can handle.
For five days, he says nothing. For five days, he sleeps less, eats less, and speaks less to his friends. For five days, Jean's 'fine'.
But he's not fine.
(Or, another hella late-to-the-party fill for this!)

Summary
At midnight, on the day you turn seventeen, you receive a name inked onto your body: this person, wherever they are and whoever they may be, is to be your soulmate, your true love.
Jean's parents don't like him and don't like each other; Eren's father split and left his mother to single-handedly raise two children under one roof. Since they were children, they've had a natural rivalry based on mindless hatred - Jean's rich and snobby and makes mean comments about Eren's clothes, and Eren's rude and dirty and always laughs when Jean gets a new phone. The only person to ever really care about Jean was Marco; Eren's been predisposed towards Armin ever since Eren saw him hold his own against some idiot bullies.
Yet on their seventeenth birthdays, Jean doesn't get Marco, and Eren doesn't get Armin: instead, they get each other.

Summary
No matter what Jean may say, it's not Eren's fault that this happened: he was just innocently searching for a working vending machine. Jean had the good voice, and sang in French, and seemed like an angel. Eren feels entirely justified in the disappointment he feels when he discovers Jean's actually a massive dickhead.
They work past it.
