Atsushi froze, anger turning to surprise, then bewilderment, finally settling on worry. 'It’s almost one in the morning, isn’t it a bit too late for pranks…?' Atsushi asked, leaning against the doorway as he glanced left and right, like he was checking for danger just around the corner.
Dazai waved off his worries. 'It’s not a prank! I’m totally, completely, undoubtedly serious. What do you say? Just you and me out there in the world, no one else to worry about.'"

Atsushi is turned into a child by a special ability user who escapes while Dazai, Kunikida, and the rest of the ADA are left to pick up the pieces.
Contains a ton of fluff, because I thrive off it. This is not romantic it is just cute fluff between a mentor and mentee who care about each other deeply. I want Atsushi to be spoiled and loved and I've decided that Dazai is going to do that, lol.
*This takes place during the beginning of season 3, I have not read the manga whatsoever, so if somethings inaccurate it is just for this story; please don't hold it against me. I also don't plan on following the anime. So while this takes place at the beginning of season 3, it will not build up into season 3. It's a standalone story; separate from the show.*

Atsushi joins in on Dazai's theatrics.
"'No, no. Dazai-san. Dazai-san!' he calls desperately as he pulls Dazai’s body to him, 'oh, god, no,' he cries waveringly. Yellow coats his hand from the paint on Dazai’s chest. Dazai coughs, yellow spilling from his lips, and Atsushi has to keep himself from laughing. He decided he was going to commit to this from the start, he can’t quit now. This is real. Dazai is actively dying in his arms."
