She had almost whispered, but Shadow Milk heard her as if she had shouted. Mystic Flour was the best editor anyone could dream of, and she had also been one of his best friends for years. But unfortunately, she had also been there to witness his downfall: she asked him that question every two weeks, as if the answer would ever change. They both hoped it would, but one of them no longer believed it would.
As nothing came out of his mouth, Mystic Flour answered for him:
"Okay. Everything is fine."
She always told him that. Everything was fine. And in a way, it was true: Shadow Milk was still a rich and handsome writer, living in a huge flat in the heart of the country's largest city, and he would remain so even if he never published another book. Everything was fine. Life went on.
"Yeah."
His voice cracked.

“Who did this to you?” He said calmly, seriously, holding himself together by a sheer thread.“Oh please!” Shadow Milk laughed, high pitched and cracking. “Like you aren’t just glad I’ve been put away where I can’t cause any trouble-” His eyes were glazed over like he wasn’t even seeing him again. He sounded like he couldn’t breathe beyond his laughter. If it could be called ‘laughter’.
"No. Please. I-I wouldn’t wish this on any cookie.” He knelt down very carefully, one hand held out. “Please. Let- Let me help you.”

They could have never predicted the manner in which the team now returned, panicked, shouting commands at eachother, a few of the cookies out of sight and on the floor of the basket below in an effort to tend to.. something.
The team seemed fine, everyone seemed intact, no one was hurt, yet they could see blood stains, and of course there was the problem of whoever was down there? If it wasn't a member of the team, then who…?For a moment, when the basket's door opened, they considered whether it would have been better not to know. Maybe ignorance truly was bliss, maybe if they hadn't seen this would have gone unknown to them, mere hushed whispers through the kingdom, secrets hidden from them, would be all that remained of this horrible sight, the sight of the pitiful heap of blue and blood red their greatest enemy had become.

The kind stranger gave him a room to stay in and for the first time in a while, he felt at ease.
Bennett has always kept others at a distance, fearing that his luck would hurt the ones he loved most. As long as his luck only affected him he would happily bear it. He never wanted to cause trouble for anyone again and pushed himself to go at everyone else's pace. While staying true to himself he makes new friends and finds the courage to allow himself to let others get close to him.
This time, he will set the pace for himself.

That's how long it's been since Bloodclan's battle, and Thunderclan is rebuilding nicely.
Well, nicely is a word Sandstorm would not use to describe herself. What with the drowning cat filled dreams and the ghost of a gray cat that won't leave her alone, she's convinced herself that this is just what was supposed to happen when one commits an unspeakable act by Starclan's eyes (murder, to someoen that deserved it but apparently still not alright)
However when she learns about who might be that is appearing to her dreams, she will push all those issues aside and embark on a quest to restore Skyclan.
Because bringing back a dead clan is obviosly more healthy than talking about your feelings.
