He’s not sure how it happened. He thinks it must have something to do with the guy, the one with the weird-looking eyes who kept staring at him at the club. Some parts of it he does remember: the weird-looking eyes again, some biting comments about his family and the quality of his life and then some actual biting, which is the most confusing part of it all. Biting? Who the fuck does that?
Is he a goddamn vampire now? He doesn’t even know anything about vampires.
Well, if there’s someone in the world who would know about vampires, Roman is willing to bet that person is Gerri. The woman knows everyone’s secrets and most of his too – if Roman really is a fucking creature of the night or whatever the fuck they’re called, he can maybe trust her to help him.

Yeah, Roman can be a bit of a cunt sometimes, but never explicitly to her. It’s even refreshing – Tabitha has met plenty of rich boys who are the textbook description of bullies, and while Roman Roy checks many of those boxes, there is much more to him too.
Like that he takes her to the ballet even though he thinks it’s a pile of crap.
