“I just spoke with Minelli, and he gave us the green light.” Jane had assured, gesturing to the closed office door where the man in question sat behind. “We’re going back in time, Lisbon.”
She had blinked at him like he’d grown two heads and asked for further explanation, but of course that was too much to ask. Only God knew when Jane would feel inspired to let her in on things.

Jane is being Jane, and Lisbon doesn't really love dealing with that. But it's all for a good cause, it always is. We need a little bit of carny inside the con, a little bit of con inside the carny.

Summary
A young woman from Earth somehow appears in Mirkwood, very well knowing why she is there, but is still figuring out how she got there and how to stay alive. Middle Earth was a world she grew up with, so indeed she knows who lives in the realms of Tolkien's universe, but as she herself ends up in Thranduil's Halls, she must figure out how to stay friends with the king and earn his trust, without spilling secrets that could ruin everything. Constantly suspicious of the woman's behaviour and her mystery, Thranduil's interest towards her grows, but her stubbornness and bold confidence that almost levels with his own, makes it hard for a relationship to evolve. As time passes, secrets spill and the woman must fight to upkeep any form of trust. Will she succeed? Will she survive?

A local school teacher has been found dead in the bathtub, and it's up to our team to find her killer. But what should be an easy case is made difficult by past events.. She goes to the school and inhales the smell of children’s sweat, moldy remnants stuffed far away in backpacks hanging from the rows of coat racks. On a plaque there’s the school logo for the Pine Bluff Otters, a smiling creature with soulless eyes. It’s funny how death taints nostalgia with a slimy cover. Like filthy rain water washing out the lively colors of nature. She needs to find Samantha’s killer.

“Don’t fret, Lisbon. I’m still not trying to seduce you,” Jane remarked coyly, his hand barely covering the microphone on his phone.
She smirked as she combed her fingers through a warm spiral before letting it fall softly around her face. His reflection in the bathroom mirror was impish, and the way he moved around her – hovering a little too close – was just plain bothersome.
“I’m not fretting, Jane.” She reached out, straightening the light grey tie he’d paired with his charcoal suit. “You couldn’t seduce me if you wanted to.”
