Katsuki likes Hitoshi. Loves him, even. That it not at all the problem.
The problem is that they are going public with their relationship. That is a big fucking problem and it has everything to do with Katsuki.
He knows what everyone—including his friends—thinks: too angry, too self-centred, too selfish, too hard and definitely not a person who could love anyone else.
It doesn't matter that Katsuki loves his friends so much that he fears it might kill him someday; it doesn't matter that he loves Hitoshi so much it takes his breath away every goddamn time the purple idiot smiles at him.
It doesn't matter that Katsuki can be his own brand of soft with Hitoshi because it will never, ever fit the socially accepted standard and therefore, Katsuki will always fall flat, no matter how hard he tries.

Shinsou sat at his usual spot in the corner of the courtyard, far enough to avoid the noise but close enough to observe. It wasn’t that he cared about what his classmates were saying. Most of the time, their chatter was mind-numbing. But lately, his attention had been drawn to one person in particular.
Bakugou Katsuki.
Shinsou wasn’t sure when it started—when he began paying attention to the explosive blonde. Maybe it was the way Bakugou carried himself, unapologetically brash and full of fire. Or maybe it was the raw talent that Bakugou didn’t even bother hiding. Shinsou had seen plenty of confident people before, but none of them had the same magnetic pull that Bakugou did.
It was fascinating, really, how Bakugou could command attention without even trying. And it wasn’t just Shinsou who noticed. Plenty of people watched Bakugou, though not all of them with admiration.
