    Summary

Suguru could feel the air between them crackle. Satoru wasn’t merely singing; he was performing, each movement deliberate, fluid with a predator’s grace. His hips swiveled in subtle rhythm, his head tipping back just enough to bare the line of his throat, eyes catching Suguru’s with that wicked glint, sharp and merciless as a spark struck against flint. Every note spilled from him like honey laced with fire, decadent and taunting, daring Suguru to bite.

Suguru met his gaze without flinching, a slow smirk tugging at his mouth as heat coiled low in his chest. He didn’t miss a beat. He followed Satoru’s rhythm, letting his fingers dance over the strings, subtle flourishes threading through the chords, matching the tension in the other man’s body. The song between them had come alive with tension, every note a flicker of fire that left him aching for the next.

When Suguru is pulled into one of the world’s biggest bands overnight, he never imagines that beyond surviving the stage, his greatest challenge would be the singer who pushes him away... the one he can’t seem to walk away from.

    Summary

For Suguru, people existed individually. But if someone was unknown to him, or to anyone, they might as well not exist at all.

Yet, every time he saw someone, instead of thinking his usual, curious questions like Where are they going? Or what is their name?, his first thought was always:

They will die eventually. I wonder how much time they have left.

Needless to say, this was hardly a casual thought for a seven-year-old. Most children are shocked by the idea of death, but for Suguru, it was different.

In time, his mind came to terms with it. Suguru, though still fearful, accepted it. It was normal. Death was normal.

He began distancing himself from people. He couldn’t remember exactly why, and he knew it wasn’t the only reason, but it felt… natural.

    OR

Suguru would force himself to forget people's names until it became something involuntary. He couldn't control it. But the universe had other plans for him; drowning Suguru in the water he swore not to touch again, just to remember.

    Summary

Somewhere along the lines his faith became a little blurry. That was until a little blurry turned into him near black out drunk and stoned in the middle of the road by himself, knuckles bruised and the taste of blood still in his mouth laying down on the double lines under a blanket of stars praying for a truck.

When the truck never came, he knew that God was no longer with him, and he was no longer with God.

Or, Barty falls from the hands of God, and finds eternal glory in the arms of another boy.

    Summary

Satoru is staring at that painting without words, his mouth slightly open and Suguru’s not sure if he’s breathing. To be honest, it's the best compliment Suguru can archive. Satoru is shaking a little when he carefully touches it, caressing his pointed finger down slowly. “I can’t accept this as a gift Suguru” Satoru finally says “this belongs somewhere to the gallery so everyone can see it, not to my room!”

Suguru laughs. “It's yours, Satoru, you can sell it when I become famous” he jokes around. But Satoru’s not paying attention to him. He’s still mesmerized by that painting. Then suddenly some emotion crosses his face that Suguru can't tell what it means but Satoru looks even more surprised than before. His voice is nothing more than a whisper when he finally asks “Is that me?”.

“Yes, Satoru. You were my muse for this”
