Pran has a list. It's kept on a piece of squirtle notepaper he'd bought when he was 10 and hidden at the bottom of the box he keeps at the back of his wardrobe. The paper is old and faded now, worn so thin from age and use that it's almost tearing at the folds in the middle, but the words still stand out like tattoos across the page.
Reasons not to like Pat Phatra
He'd even underlined it twice. It's funny looking down the list now and seeing how his handwriting has changed through the years, gotten neater and smaller. Honestly, its pretty funny seeing some of the things he'd written down.
7. He doesn't like Pikachu. Who doesn't like Pikachu?
Look, squirtle may have been his favourite but not liking Pikachu is a cardinal sin, okay? Or at least it had been when he was eleven. He's magnanimous enough to forgive
Pat for that one now that they're verging on 21.

16. He gets dizzy too easily
It might make Pat a terrible choice for many of the games they liked to play as kids but it's hardly some kind of terrible character flaw. It's not Pat's fault he was apparently born with oversensitive inner ears. And it's not like they ever were ever on the same team anyway.
His mood sours.
That's right. He and Pat, they're not on the same team and they never have been. They don't know how not to be.
22. He makes everything into a competition
How is it Pran's fault if he rises to meet that challenge? He ignores the little voice at the back of his head that whispers but you like it. If you didn't like it you would ignore it, you'd walk away. But you don't do you? Anything as long as he's paying attention to you. Pathetic.
Pran bites down on the inside of his lip so hard he tastes blood. Moves down the list.
29. He eats too loudly
This is something three years hasn't changed. It's still gross. Pran should hate it more. Pran hates that he doesn't.
34. He's an asshole
Pran forgets this when Pat continues send him stupid stickers over Line even though Pran never replies to them, when he offers to move out so Pran doesn't have to, when he gives back Pran's guitar which he's apparently been holding on to all this time. Pran keeps
forgetting Pat is an asshole, and then is shocked everytime Pat does something like laugh
as his friends bully, degrade, humiliate Wai. You'd think that after all this time he'd have leant.
