Work Text:
Win and Team sat pliantly against the lockers, Team between Win’s legs and Win with his arm securely around Team’s waist. In the heat of the moment it seemed impossible to wait the ten minutes it would take to get back to their dorm. If Win was being honest, he didn’t want to give Team extra time to overthink things and push him away.
However Win was regretting their lack of blankets and a soft surface now as they sat naked on the dirty floor of the locker room.
If they were in one of their beds then Win could convince Team to stay and spend the night with him.
What if I get bored?
The memory of Team’s words rang in Win’s ears on repeat now that things were calm and quiet and Win wasn’t losing his mind to the feeling of Team’s body against his.
Then we'll break up, Win had said at the time, bravado and the need to reassure Team overriding his hurt at the question.
But what if he does get bored? Win would just have to make sure that didn't happen. He could do it. He could be sexy and fun and keep Team’s interest. He’d make sure of it. Win pushed down on the bubble of anxiety that welled up at the thought. He’d make sure of it, he would.
“Hia, I'm cold,” Team whined, butting the back of his head against Win’s shoulder. Win had to agree that his bare ass against cold concrete was extremely uncomfortable even though he didn't want to move.
“Alright, hang on,” he said and gently maneuvered Team off of him and stood up.
He went to his locker and took out his club jacket stuffed inside. He tossed it to Team.
“Here. I'll grab a wet towel to get cleaned up,” Win continued. He put on his boxers so that he wasn’t naked.
“Mm,” Win hummed in agreement, eagerly spreading the jacket over his bare legs. Win took a moment to mourn the loss of such a spectacular view before going down the hall to the bathroom. Halfway there, he remembered that he hadn’t refilled the towels that night in favor of following when Team called. In fact, half of his presidential duties were left undone, but they could all wait until the next morning.
With a sigh, Win turned around to grab a towel from the locker room to take back to the bathroom. As he rounded the corner, he froze, heart pounding when he saw Team curled up against the lockers, eyes shut and face screwed up in pain.
Had Win hurt him? Was Team regretting what they did?
Win was about to step inside and do something, anything to clear that expression off of his face when Team took a deep breath and then just…softened. The pained look smoothed into a wide grin before Team rubbed the back of his hand over his mouth and muttered, “Be cool, Team.”
His toes, barely visible under Win’s jacket, tapped against the floor as he gave a happy, full body wiggle. He bent over and tucked his forehead against his raised knees for a moment. Then he popped back up, stretched his legs out and pressed his hand over his heart. His eyes opened and Team combed his fingers through his disheveled hair.
“Just be cool,” he said again.
Win quickly ducked out of sight, his whole body warmed at seeing Team in such an unguarded moment. He could feel his own gigantic grin threaten to overtake his face.
Be cool, he mouthed to himself, allowing one near soundless huff of laughter before reining it in. Then he deliberately slapped his bare feet on the floor to alert Team of his presence. When he entered the locker room, the giddiness from before was hidden behind Team’s usually grumpy exterior.
Win was so fucking fond of him, god.
“No towels in the bathroom,” Win explained. He walked over to the laundry bin and fished out a clean but unfolded towel. He dropped it on Team’s head and listened to him grumble as he took it and started scrubbing at his body.
Win grabbed his half-finished water bottle and held it out to him. “Here, use this.”
Team took the bottle and dumped it onto the towel and then wiped the remaining sweat and come off of his belly.
“Do you want it?” he asked Win when he was done.
Win took the towel back and ran it perfunctorily over his chest. Team’s body had taken the brunt of the mess, which Team seemed to really fucking be into, a fact that Win planned to explore more fully as soon as possible.
“Give me my clothes,” Team demanded, still tucked under Win’s jacket.
Win raised an eyebrow. “Are you getting shy now?”
Team glared, but Win watched as the apples of his cheeks stained pink. Win was starting to understand that Team had a lot going on under the surface. It only made him want to try harder, dig deeper. Win was the one who was supposed to be fighting to hold Team’s interest, but instead, Team was effortlessly pulling Win along without even knowing it.
It would be infuriating if Win wasn’t so helplessly drawn to him.
“What?” Team said.
Win realized he’d been staring and shook his head to clear it. He scooped up Team’s clothes from the various places that it was strewn around the locker room and passed them over.
“Nothing,” he answered. “You just look good.”
“I…” Team’s eyes widened and he held his shirt protectively over his naked chest. Within seconds, the shirt was back on and haphazardly buttoned.
Win took pity and turned around to put his own clothes on and give Team some privacy. He slung his bag over one shoulder and then turned back around to find Team standing very close to him.
His eyebrows pinched together in a determined expression, and he leaned forward and kissed Win, pressing one hand into the small of Win’s back.
“Let’s go,” Team said as he pulled away, leaving Win gaping.
He began walking out of the locker room, and Win rushed, as always, to follow him.
