Childe is a fox hybrid, ever since he fell into the abyss as a child he had hidden his ears and tail as he found them to make him for vulnerable during battle.
The only times he let's his ears and tail out is when he's alone in the comfort of his own home, meaning no one ever see's them , it's gotten to the point people don't even know he's a hybrid and think he's just a human.
His husbands, Zhongli and Neuvillette , are the special two who get to see Childe's fox like features.

It's a late night and Childe is out late on work given to him by the Fatui. Neuvillette and Zhongli are cuddling in their bed , both of the dragons unable to find sleep.
"Are you unable to sleep as well mon chéri?" Neuvillette says in an almost whisper. Zhongli responds with a low hm " Yes...I just can't help but worry for him"

Moving over to Childe, he has finally finished his work for today, itching to see his husband's after such a long day.
He stops by a lake to wash the blood off his hands and hair , carefully trying to not expose his ears as he has to walk through Fontaine, quite convenient that his hair is fluffy enough to cover them comfortably.
He's finished washing off the blood and is now walking through the Court of Fontaine , only a few people strolling through the streets as he makes his way to the Palais Mermonia and to Neuvillette's private quarters.
He waves to the desk expecting for Sedene to be there, but she is not at the desk at the moment.
At first it surprised Childe but then looked at the clock to see that's it's currently midnight and that all the Melusine's must have gone off work by now.
After a moment he continues to go to Neuvillette's quarters to finally see his husband's after hours. He enters the room quietly , making his way to the bedroom

Neuvillette and Zhongli hear him enter and decide to pretend to sleep to surprise Childe.
As Childe enters the room he see's his husband's cuddled up together with a perfect spot in the middle for Childe to lay into, ' seems they were waiting for me ' Childe thinks with a happy smile .
He quickly changes , letting out his ears and tail and making a sound of relief as if you had just had the best stretch ever and swiftly climbs his
way under the covers and in between that spot in between the two in the bed.....a moment passes.....
They strike.
Childe is pulled into a giant hug from both sides of the bed , one from Neuvillette , the other from Zhongli Childe lets out a surprised noise
" W-wha- you're awake!? Did I wake you two up? I thought I was quite i'm sorry..." Childe quickly blames himself for why the two were up at such an ungodly hour.
Neuvillette quickly shushes him as Zhongli grabs his chin to make him face Zhongli and reassures Childe he's not in the wrong " Don't worry bǎobèi , you didn't wake us up , we were merely waiting for you to come home" he says with a soft smile on his lips.
Childe is still visibly upset with himself for something he didn't do so Zhongli decides to bring his hand up to his head and pet Childe's ears in attempt to cheer him up , and oh archons did it work amazingly
Almost instantly Childe starts to smile and a soft purr can be heard. Neuvillette and Zhongli both snuggle up to their little fox saying in unison " We love you" Childes responds back with " I love you two aswell"
The three of them continue to cuddle throughout the night , Neuvillette and Zhongli finally get the sleep they were hoping for as their draconic instincts were soothed knowing their precious mate was safe beside them. A silent group of purrs continued
throughout the rest of the night.
