Work Text:
"Mr. Milverton, I can see that you are wearing my shirt again."
Charles Augustus Milverton looked up from the document he was reading when he heard his secretary, Ruskin's complaining voice. He flashed a smile at him - it was a meaningful smile, but it contained no guilt at all.
"I am wearing it, indeed. But it was part of our deal." He stated confidently. Ruskin raised his eyebrows.
"Which deal exactly are you talking about, sir?"
"You once told me that I am allowed to wear your clothes if we are lovers." Milverton told Ruskin and a mischievous light glowed up in his golden eyes. 'Well, we are - which means that your shirt is rightfully on me currently."
"Rightfully." Ruskin noted with some sarcasm. "But even if we are lovers, may I remind you that you have more clothes than me - and you can even order more if you need to. There is no point in wearing my clothes."
"They are more comfortable." Milverton stated.
"Our shirts are of the same quality." Ruskin said and his voice sounded slightly tired. "Admit it, you just like to take away what is mine."
"You might be right." Milverton smirked and Ruskin just rolled his eyes - and if Milverton would have paid attention, he could see that something sparkled up in his secretary's gaze too.
But the meaning of that spark only got revealed a day later for him.
"Ruskin. You are wearing my suit." Milverton commented when he saw how Ruskin came out of the bathroom after he dressed up.
"Yes, sir." Ruskin nodded without any shame. "I do. If you are allowed to wear my clothes because we are lovers, this rule applies to me as well. And I like your suit. It is more comfortable than mine."
Milverton stared at his secretary for a moment. Then he laughed and drew Ruskin into his arms.
"You are provocative. But I like it very much." He told him and instead of ordering the other man to take his clothes down, he gave a kiss to his mouth.
