Summary
After the loss of her mother during labor, Princess Rhaenyra of House Targaryen is named to be the heir to the Iron Throne by King Viserys I. After the king remarries to Rhaenyra’s secret lover and best friend, Lady Alicent Hightower, Rhaenyra becomes distraught, but becomes close to her half-siblings: Aegon, Helaena, Aemond and Daeron; all of them sharing a deep bond. The family is relatively blissful for sometime, until the Queen’s father, Otto Hightower, and the King’s brother, Daemon Targaryen, come back to King's Landing and begin their plots to get the person on the throne that will bring them the most power and prestige. Both are supporting different people, and both are willing to split their own family and country in half to achieve their desired outcome.
