    A wrist was pressed against his mouth. “Drink,” Technoblade said into his ear, and any lingering hope that he might just kill him here or better yet just let him die from his injuries instead of dragging him back to their sire withered away. Tommy kept his mouth shut. “Drink, now, or you’re going to die.”

    Scorned fledglings either had a sympathetic adult vampire take them on as a substitute sire or died. The first was not an option for Tommy. Everyone knew the moment he managed to wiggle out of the cruel grip of his own sire that helping him was a death sentence. In fact, coming face to face with any vampire meant getting dragged back to those who'd laid claim to his blood. Few wanted to go against the Sleepy Coven; all wanted to gain favor with them. His fate was to die on the street at best. At worst... well, that's why he’d ran.

    Yet, he ended up blessed by circumstance (for once) with a third option curtesy of his best friend Tubbo whose hands were stained with magic and who was willing to do what was necessary to keep him alive, bloodsucker or not.

    (I adore all of the Dark SBI vampire fics, but I'm also a wimp, so I want it to all be a horrible misunderstanding and for them to all hug at the end.)

    After a while, the boy looked up at Grian, “Why are you guys- Why are you so fuckin’ nice? I’ve been here for like half an hour, and no one has gotten angry at me for being a dick, that Xisuma bitch saved my life, and helped me calm down after a freakout- What the fuck? I don’t understand!” He cried, and Grian just let him talk. It hurt to hear, and made him wonder who hurt this kid.
    His avian instincts weren’t helping either, it was not the time to be trying to take in an abandoned fledgling. It also did not help that between the ugly sobs the kid was making, he could hear the repressed chirps that struggled to pass through whatever barrier this kid had put up to stop any bird-like sounds.

    Fear shot through him at the alien sensation, and he moved to sit up, eyeing the pool of sticky blood he had been laying in. There was a strange heaviness on his back, and dread filled his stomach as he felt an unfamiliar something brush against the shower cubicle. 

    This better be fucking heaven or something. He better be on some kind of drugs, or maybe he was having one of those weird ass lucid dreams, because when Tommy looked behind him there were wings.  

    Tommy had wings. He had wings.

    Tommy's first night as his new foster home is less than peaceful, but what he doesn't know is that this family isn't a standard, human family either.

    (We hit 100k on the original, so it's time for a rewrite!! Expect family fluff, shenanigans, many more characters like Ranboo and the Feral crew, and sooo much hurt/comfort)
