Summary
A wrist was pressed against his mouth. “Drink,” Technoblade said into his ear, and any lingering hope that he might just kill him here or better yet just let him die from his injuries instead of dragging him back to their sire withered away. Tommy kept his mouth shut. “Drink, now, or you’re going to die.”
Scorned fledglings either had a sympathetic adult vampire take them on as a substitute sire or died. The first was not an option for Tommy. Everyone knew the moment he managed to wiggle out of the cruel grip of his own sire that helping him was a death sentence. In fact, coming face to face with any vampire meant getting dragged back to those who'd laid claim to his blood. Few wanted to go against the Sleepy Coven; all wanted to gain favor with them. His fate was to die on the street at best. At worst... well, that's why he’d ran.
Yet, he ended up blessed by circumstance (for once) with a third option curtesy of his best friend Tubbo whose hands were stained with magic and who was willing to do what was necessary to keep him alive, bloodsucker or not.
(I adore all of the Dark SBI vampire fics, but I'm also a wimp, so I want it to all be a horrible misunderstanding and for them to all hug at the end.)

After a while, the boy looked up at Grian, “Why are you guys- Why are you so fuckin’ nice? I’ve been here for like half an hour, and no one has gotten angry at me for being a dick, that Xisuma bitch saved my life, and helped me calm down after a freakout- What the fuck? I don’t understand!” He cried, and Grian just let him talk. It hurt to hear, and made him wonder who hurt this kid.
His avian instincts weren’t helping either, it was not the time to be trying to take in an abandoned fledgling. It also did not help that between the ugly sobs the kid was making, he could hear the repressed chirps that struggled to pass through whatever barrier this kid had put up to stop any bird-like sounds.~

This better be fucking heaven or something. He better be on some kind of drugs, or maybe he was having one of those weird ass lucid dreams, because when Tommy looked behind him there were wings.

“I don’t want to leave.” Grian said, finally looking up to Scar. Beneath that flat, controlled tone and stoic expression, there was something unbearably sad.

Scar and Grian were left in the world, alone, forced to finish the game. To honor the months they spent in the desert, the two make a five day pilgrimage to the Monopoly Mountain.
This follows their death march to Pizza's grave, the complex emotions that both of them have trouble processing and communicating, and the sense of doom up to the bloody, bitter and ugly end. Scar has a home - Hermitcraft - to return to, and Grian has to return to the Watchers. “Oh! Well, hello there!” Scar cooed, opening the gate and kneeling down beside Grian. “Aren’t you a nice little surprise?”
Stupidly, his first instinct was to try and explain himself in words. It’s me, it’s Grian, he tried to say. I was an idiot and pulled a lever in the ancient city’s lab and it turned me into a cat.
None of that came out of his mouth. What he said instead was something like meow meow meow meow meow, which was a cry for help if he’d ever heard one, but Scar only chuckled.
“You’re just an angry little guy.” He picked Grian up before he had time to object and held him up to his face, which was just about the most humiliating thing he’d ever experienced. “You’re the cutest, fluffiest little angry guy ever, aren’t you?”
Nevermind, that was worse. Grian was never coming back from that one.
