Summary
Martin and Jon wake up to find a version of Jon staring down at them in the Archives after being pulled into Somewhere Else. There's something odd about this place though, starting with the simple fact that everyone is toting around animals that are pieces of their souls, and everyone is miraculously alive again.
AKA: this is a Daemon AU, and also a fix it, where the characters from the original podcast are dropped into a reality for a do-over, but the alternate reality’s change is basically just Lyra’s London where daemons exist. So it’s a Martin and Jon with daemons meeting the canon Martin and Jon. -

The Archives crew wake up in 2014 to discover that they all recall the events yet to happen in their lives. With a second chance presented to them, and a somewhat familiar face extending a friendly offer to assist in keeping everyone alive, Jon, Martin, Tim, Sasha, Georgie, Melanie, Basira, and Daisy all join forces to keep themselves out of trouble long enough to save the world. Again.
Or: another time travel fix-it with me projecting on the child I just assigned to JMart because they deserve a nice, happy family. Complete with a tragic backstory for them so I can give a reason for why they did this in the first place.
Title comes from a Will Wood song I listen to on repeat with big TMA vibes. -

After two months of being on Rozanov watch post him being dumped by Montreal Jane, the Raiders all breathe a sigh of relief when their captain goes back to his usual happy self after All-Stars.
Cliff, Victor, and Connor notice that the timing of Ilya’s good mood coincides strangely well with the speculation (read: open secret) that Hollander and Rozanov definitely banged it out sometime during that weekend and after some theorizing, they’re pretty sure their captain has had a years long crush on Hollander and that his happiness hinges on making his giant crush on Shane Hollander come to fruition.
Of course, as his friends, they need to help him to the best of their abilities.

It started, as so many things do, with a tweet.
“Hey, Hollzy! Look at this! It’s so you and Roz,” Evan Dykstra said, shoving his phone in Shane’s face. Shane squinted at the slightly blurry screen, willing his eyes to focus on the small font. He never brought his glasses to practice (much to Ilya’s chagrin), but he also never anticipated reading whatever stupid meme the Centaurs decided was vital for his desolate knowledge of pop culture.
Me and the bad bitch I pulled by being autistic, it read, followed by a photo pulled from Centaurs socials of Ilya and Shane smiling at each other like idiots at a team event.
Shane read it a second time, then looked up at Dykstra, who looked incredibly proud of himself. Clearly, Ilya was supposed to be the ‘bad bitch,’ because no one had ever put those two words in the same sentence as Shane Hollander.
“Funny, D,” Shane began, “but I’m not autistic.”

Moving to the Ottawa Centaurs was supposed to fix everything. Ilya finally had his own space, a spot in the same province as Shane, and a standing invitation to watch away games on the Hollanders' couch. It’s warm, loud, and exactly where he wants to be.
Until a basket of apples and a home-cooked meal threaten to expose the one secret he’s guarded since his youth hockey days in Moscow.
