After Verity comes back to the base you were at with the news of- (ANOTHER SPOILER WARNING LIKE PLEASE JUST GO WATCH EPISODE THREE IF YOU HAVENT.) -mob's death, you are the only one left for verity to cling onto, while he much rathered mob's presence, its not like he was even there right now.

You had already been struggling with twixxel's death, so this all was of course your breaking point! And instead of Verity sitting there and trying to at least comfort you (which wouldnt have worked, its like throwing a towel into the ocean), or even trying to cope with his own loss, he makes you some food and gets you to sit with him at dinner.

Which of course turns into an argument. Like, a bad one. The kind you'd only hear at a thanksgiving if the family was already tense.
