Summary
The whole thing was overwhelming. Some of it was amazing. The celebratory sex, for instance, was great. Scott had won the Cup. And then he’d kissed Kip right there on center ice. It made Kip feel like Mia from The Princess Diaries, and he would have popped his foot if he wasn’t afraid of falling on the ice. It was all a fairytale moment.
But the internet was brutal. People were ranking him on hotness compared to other WAGs. People were ripping through all his social media to figure out every detail of his life. People were accusing him of turning Scott gay.
And then there was Ilya Rozanov. The Russian made a five-minute video of himself sitting on a couch lecturing Kip on his life.
Kip finds out about the time when Scott almost outed Ilya and Shane on live TV and has to handle it in the aftermath of the Cup win.

Summary
The Centaurs were improving but not shining. Shane watched Ilya stress out even as he got to count his wins. The media pointed out how far off he was from where he was from where he had been the season before. Ilya smiled but said, “We are not talking about last year’s Ilya. We’re not talking about the Raiders’ Ilya. The Centaurs are coming from another place. So, let’s talk about where we are this season. Last year is done. Different team, different country.”
Shane thought everything was on track. At least Ilya’s sponsorships were picking up speed. When he watched ESPN or the MLH Channel, every fourth ad was either his or Ilya’s. The hottest one was his Diesel ad, where he was just lazily stretching in different tank tops.
But Ilya got a call from Russia that left him shaken. Shane was in Ottawa and could only hear one half of the conversation. Ilya was talking fast, so Shane had a hard time following it. He gathered that Ilya’s dad had gone outside without his shoes in the snow. He recognized the words for hospital and doctor, but there were words he didn’t know.
Ilya settles into his new life in Canada. But the death of his father sends him back to Russia.

Summary
Ilya had been invited over alone to the Hollander’s cottage. It was nerve-racking to be alone with her. But Yuna was his agent. It was her literal job to be nice to him.
Handing over a cup of coffee, she said, “Shane bans work talk from his cottage.”
She settled onto the couch. She had a notepad along with her coffee. It made him think of his therapist back in Boston, reminded him that he would need to find one.
She explained, “You boys have so little time off. But this year is a little weird because I’m stepping into the role of your manager. I gotta get things going for your sponsor deals.”
The guys at the awards had joked that, with Yuna, he would get sponsors, but… “My old manager said no one likes a bad boy, and I was unmarketable. You really think I can get sponsors?”
“No one likes a real bad boy. You chirp and have swagger. You don’t get arrested for drunk driving or hitting your wife. Kids’ brands love a squeaky-clean smile. But, what’s your favorite energy drink?”
Ilya spends time with Yuna alone for the after moving to Canada. She takes over his portfolio. Some of his preferences surprise her.

Summary
Winning the Cup after the loss at the Olympics was euphoric. In the back of his mind, he knew that commentators would be talking about how he had ended a thirteen-year drought for the Raiders. They would also be talking about how the Metros were on year fifteen of a losing streak. Maybe next year would be Shane’s year.
It wouldn’t be Ilya’s. He was waiting for his trade to go through. The media didn’t know it, but the management had a deal pending the last game of the season. They had all been sympathetic to Ilya when he had asked to be traded to Ottawa. But with their high chances for the Cup, they had held off. He was grateful. He wanted to win a Cup with Cliff. He wanted this for the Raiders. He spent their on-ice celebration twirling with babies, kissing WAGs.
In the locker room, he was drenched in champagne, laughing, behaving poorly. But he grabbed his phone and saw the text from Shane, “I’m so proud. Have fun with your team tonight.”
He texted back, “Congratulatory phone sex when I get home? I earned this.”
“You earned it,” agreed Shane.
What if Ilya winning the Cup and the MLH MVP of 2014 was a happy time for the couple?

Summary
Cliff sighed. It was time to bite the bullet. “Man, y’know, I always wanted a little brother. And my dad, God bless him, he musta been shooting just X chromosome sperm. Love all three of my little sisters, but what the fuck? No brother? I was born to be a big brother. I think of you as the little brother I never got growing up. You’re my favorite person to hang out with, and I feel like I’m at least sort of mentoring you. My kids adore you and call you Uncle Ilya. You’re the little brother I never had, and I’m so lucky to have you in my life.”
“Aww, Cliff, I like you too,” said Ilya jokingly.
“Roz, what I’m saying is, it’s okay that your Montreal girl is Shane Hollander. Scott Hunter is an asshole for whatever he was doing.”
Ilya was silent for a minute, “He was threatening to out us.”
“I’ll break both his fucking legs,” Cliff promised. “No one is getting you fired.”
“We’ve never thrown a game,” said Ilya, looking nervous, earnest.
“Of course you haven’t: you’re too competitive and he’s too autistic.”
“Artistic?” repeated Ilya. “I don’t think he can draw.”
Here's a story of six times people clocked Ilya and Shane over the years.

Dead Tropes; New Stories by Azure_K_Mello
Fandom Marvel Cinematic Universe, Spider-Man (Tom Holland Movies)
20 Oct 2024
Summary
A series of stories based on tropes as old as the hills that hopefully feel new again with slight twists.
I'm Peter Parker; I will Not Be Your Tour Guide is a field trip story.
Then we have a soulmate story with soulmarks in the form of colors on skin that appear whenever soulmates touch. That is the first in a series. The others in that series are in another series called Loving Colors.
Poor Little Rich Boy is an arranged marriage story. But instead of it being about two strangers falling in love after saying "I do," it's about Tony getting out of a living nightmare and getting a happy ending with someone who isn't Steve.
You're My Best Friend is a friends with benefits story where people catch feelings.
Step on Fate is another soulmate about love separated by decades.

What if everyone made healthy choices and supported one another?
There is a point oh oh six percent chance that a condom and the pill will still end up with a pregnancy and — in a world where Tony Stark decided to be a dad — everyone wins.

Summary
Shane lifts one eyelid again to look at Rozanov. His eyes are red-rimmed. Like he’s been crying. “Why…why aren’t you in Boston?”
Rozanov’s brow furrows. “Why would I be in Boston?”
“You, you’re captain. Raiders. Boston.”
The room is silent except for the beeping of monitors.
In 2023, Shane takes a bad hit on the ice. When he wakes up, the last thing he remembers is a tuna melt.
There’s a lot to get used to.

Summary
“The doctor said it’s retrograde amnesia. He doesn’t remember the game, or . . . any of the last few years, really. He remembers his draft, but not World Juniors the next year, so . . .” Pike shrugs helplessly.
Mind racing, Ilya thinks through the math. Their second World Juniors had been in 2009, 8 years ago. That’s 8 years—or more—of Shane’s life, of Ilya’s role in it, just gone. 8 years of teasing texts and hotel room hookups, tuna melts and Tampa and 'I don’t think I can keep pretending I don’t like you anymore.'
Blyat.
. . .
When Marleau's hit leaves Shane missing his memory of the last 8 years, Ilya chooses to walk away. After Shane unexpectedly trades to the Ottawa Centaurs three years later, they are thrust back into each other's lives. Ilya struggles against his feelings that never disappeared. And Shane? He's confused about why so many things about Ilya Rozanov, his years-long rival, feel so familiar...

Summary
Shane would like it to be known that it is not his fault that the stadium is now full of women carrying lilies. He blames Rose, in fact he blames Rose and every member of the Montreal Metros, especially Hayden.
She said it would be so funny for her to give him flowers. She said it would be so funny that she spread an inside joke with the lilies. Shane is not laughing right now; in fact, he’s being laughed at by every single member of his team.

Summary
Shane does not know what he is staring at when he reads the name of the chat and the influx of texts.
This looks like actual hell, and more importantly why on earth would Ilya add him to the Boston WAGS chat?
TLDR: In an attempt to socialise in this new country Ilya puts 'jane' down as his WAG to connect to the team, this has unforeseen consequences for himself.
