“Oh?” Chan asks, humor laced through his tone. Felix has only known him for a few hours, but he can hear it, the laugh he's fighting, the dimple in his cheek. “Would Hyunjinnie want to join us, then?”
Felix inhales sharply as his pulse jumps. Hyunjin’s head whirls around, eyes wide as he meets Chan's gaze. Felix can hear his own heartbeat in his ears.
“Wh– what?” Hyunjin whispers, finally letting himself look at Felix. He can't interpret what he sees in his best friend's eyes, but he hopes his own sudden anticipation isn't too apparent. “Felix?”
He releases a measured breath, praying it doesn't seem too jittery as he shrugs haphazardly. “Sure. I mean, why not? We never- uh, we've never done that, but. We're best friends, right? What. What could go wrong?”

It's five weeks before his university graduation that Chan runs into his uncle’s ex-wife at a bar.
“Hey cutie, why are you so shy all of a sudden?”
He turns his head, does a double-take when Lina stands there, towering over him in her heels from his seated vantage. “Uh,” he answers dumbly, eye-level with her tits, caught in their trap like some sort of helpless rodent. “What?”
Lina giggles, then her fingers are on his chin, pushing it up to meet her gaze. “Eyes up here, puppy.”
Chan feels a flush of embarrassment as a couple of his friends holler, clearly entertained by the older woman… flirting with him? This is wrong, he thinks. She’s his aunt, for fucksake.

They probably should have met beforehand—somewhere other than the main check-in zone for KoreanAir at Incheon International Airport—but Felix was never really the best at thinking ahead.
Not when it involves gorgeous men with insane muscles and deep dimples, at least.
He and Chan had agreed to meet three hours before their flight was set to board. Now, he’s standing inside with his passport and phone in one hand, and his duffel resting on his large rolling suitcase, waiting for Chan so that they can check-in together.
“Felix?” a voice behind him calls out. He turns, surprised, and he finds Chan looking at him hopefully. “Ah, there you are. I wasn't sure I had the right person.”

Summary
The van door slides open, and Chan’s ears ache with the sudden influx of chatter, excited fans and reporters alike shouting and begging for Hyunjin’s attention. Hyunjin bows gently to them as one of the managers grabs his bag and tucks it into the van, a surprised look on his face when he sees Chan. It morphs into a smirk, and then his hand is on Hyunjin’s shoulder, guiding him into the van.
“I’m grabbing the next one,” Manager-nim says, a sly grin on his face when Hyunjin smoothly glides into the seat. Chan watches Hyunjin cock his head, unable to ask before the van door is being pulled shut.
The driver, Daeho, greets Hyunjin and then smirks into the rearview. “I’m going to give you some privacy, Hyunjin-ssi,” he says, sliding on a pair of sunglasses as he pulls the van out into airport traffic.
“What…” Hyunjin trails off, clearly confused, just as Chan sits up. He reaches out slowly, hand curling around Hyunjin’s head before he suddenly moves to clasp it over his lover’s mouth. Hyunjin makes a noise, a cut-off scream as his hands reach up to claw at Chan’s grip on him, but the fight leaves him just as suddenly.

Summary
Hyunjin lets his eyes fall closed, inhaling deeply to attempt to calm himself. He doesn’t need the oxygen—his lungs have long since stopped requiring it—but when he’s stressed, he finds himself repeating the same centering techniques he’d used in his own human years.
“Tell me,” Hyunjin grits between his teeth, eyes still closed as Jeongin whimpers, “that you did not imprint on a fucking wolf, Jeongin.”
A pathetic whine answers him, and Hyunjin shoves his hand away, pushing hard enough on Jeongin’s neck that he stumbles backward. Hyunjin’s eyes open as his fledgling falls, landing on his knees with a dull thud.

She cracks open one eye to watch as Jisu drains the rest of her drink, which is mostly melted ice at this point. She can’t quite place Jisu’s tone, which should be lighthearted but comes off as something else. “What do you mean by that?”
“Oppa loves mean,” Jisu says, “so you need to stop being mean to him, or else he’ll fall in love with you.”
Ah, that’s Jisu’s half-joking voice. She’s not blind—she knows her brother and she knows Minhee.
Minhee’s not offended by being called mean; she knows what Jisu is saying. She’s got a resting bitch face and a no-bullshit attitude—but also an insatiable need to mess with people. It’s offputting for those who don’t know her, but charming to those who do. She knows that. Jisu knows that.
Chan knows that. Minhee has always suspected that he likes that about her.
What Jisu doesn’t know is that it might be a little late for Minhee to change that.
Minhee's been texting her best friend's brother in secret for years now. It's all fun and games until he comes to town.

They always teetered the line of being too close to just be friends but it was like they didn't want to step over it, never wanted to plummet into the depths of something more. What they have is safe territory; they both never wanted to push further because what if that were to ruin everything they’ve built up until this point.
Chan doesn’t know why tonight is the night that things have finally caught up to them, but he isn’t complaining in the slightest.
