Spider-Gwen ventures into Earth-42 alone to try and find Miles, only to run into someone else she didn't expect to contend with: Uncle Aaron-and he's not alone. With limited options, Gwen makes a questionable choice which quickly spirals out of control and draws her deep into Aaron's thrall, something complicated by the emergence of a very different Miles from the one she knows.
With each step forward Gwen finds herself in an ever deepening hole, and is forced to confront the question of whether she can, or even wants to escape.
