Summary
Langa Hasegawa is a passionate driver new to the international racing scene but his next class skill can't quite make up for his attitude towards each and every head mechanic. That's where Reki Kyan comes in. He's hired to run Langa's crew thanks in part to his firm stance and fiery personality. But their shared demeanor extends further than their approach to being disrespected as rookies in their respective fields. Reki and Langa have the same point of view on risk versus reward and they both have big dreams when it comes to racing.
In a year-long season on a world-wide stage, there are plenty of twists and turns on the course, but one thing is certain. They work really well together.

Summary
Life led Reki down a hole he has no intention of climbing out of. The content of the dark web is questionable but the money he makes is definitely good. He tries to be, mostly so he can sleep at night, but trying to save someone comes with some unintended consequences. Namely, a handsome hitman in need of saving himself.

Summary
"We can get married when we grow up."
"Okay. When we grow up, we get married and we stay together."
Reki tried really hard not to care. He tried not to care about how people saw him as the criminal he was. Covered in tattoos and constantly on a skateboard. Tried not to care about how much his dad loathed him and how his mother was prouder of someone else's son. About how everyone he got close to left him at some point, and about how the only one that stuck around was a gang leader he had a complicated relationship with. But the thing about caring was, it never really went away. He cared a lot about his sisters, and was doing his best to be a good brother. He cared about the kids that hung around the abandoned house, cared about his couple of friends. And Langa.. Langa who was an additional villain and an additional savior in the story of Reki's life. He couldn't stop caring about Langa, even if he resented him. For leaving, for being better than he could ever be, and for coming back..
"Best friends for a billion years. For forever."
"For forever and infinity."

Summary
The line between friendship and a relationship is becoming more blurred the longer they keep this up. And unfortunately, life doesn't just stop when you start questioning your feelings and are tying to figure your stuff out.

Summary
Reki's coping mechanisms (sex, drugs, etc.) had a preferred order, the number one being music. Writing how he felt eased the weight of the shadow that seemed to cling to him, especially in the nearly sunless Canadian winter. No matter how gloomy things got, Reki always tried to have a smile. Whether or not he succeeded depended on the day but it was easier with a great group of friends and an opportunity to preform at open mics in the café. But as much as he liked the spotlight, Reki didn't like being seen. Langa was good at hearing Reki's songs for exactly what they were. Langa was good at a lot of things, everything really. They just clicked right after meeting, they liked all the same bands, and it was really hard for Reki to remember that they were just friends. Friends. With some really amazing benefits.
