Staying with Richie. Living with Richie in some beautiful lake house in Vermont while he recovered. It wasn’t like he had that many options. It would really help him get his shit together if he had somewhere to stay.
OrEddie Kaspbrak realizes that people aren’t given second chances very often and decides it’s time to live his life for himself. Richie Tozier decides it’s time to stop hiding parts of himself from the people he loves now that they’re back in his life. They're going to work through their trauma together in a completely non platonic way.

Richie stares blankly at him.
“What,” he asks flatly, “the fuck.”
“Or a god, at least, I don’t know,” Eddie continues, “Either way, I think it was the one who brought me back to life, so. You know. The chances are very good.”

Eddie has a surprising amount of muscle definition going on in the forearm region. Jamie has witnessed, on four separate occasions, someone do a double take at Eddie’s forearm. Karen from HR still bears the nickname ‘Mugbreaker’ after Eddie turned the corner near her office, coming face to face with her just as he rubbed a hand through the hair at the nape of his neck, exposing the wiry flex of muscle between wrist and elbow, and Karen famously dropped a cup of coffee all over the floor. Ergo, either Eddie goes to the gym, or he’s on steroids.
Eddie is the kind of man who keeps a makeshift itemised medicine cabinet in his third desk drawer, with a padlock on the handle, the key for which he keeps in the inside pocket of his suit jacket, and who administers a library style check-out system of medication whenever anyone asks for a Paracetamol.
Eddie is probably not on steroids.
Eddie's coworker finally convinces him to bring his elusive spouse to an office party. It goes about as well as you might expect, which is to say spectacularly.

Summary

What starts as a small passion project, making cooking tutorials online, becomes a lot more complicated and bigger than they could ever imagine when Bill brings in a new addition to their team. A comedian with a shocking background and surprise talent for culinary arts: Richie Tozier.
Eddie's the only one who doesn't like the new recruit, but Bill bribes Eddie into giving Richie a chance. At the end of six months, Richie's contract will expire. Eddie will get to decide whether they offer him a contract renewal, or refuse to re-hire him.
Things are heating up in the Prospect street Test Kitchen! Will Eddie stick to his guns, and keep his dignity? Or will he get lost in the sauce?

It wasn't that Richie wasn't a good partner. He was just... inattentive at times. Now, he would be the first to say that his job was no excuse. Sure, he had to tour a lot, but cell phones existed. He could call every once in awhile. It was the fact that he had ADHD which made it worse. [...] So, by the time he remembered that he was going to call his boyfriend, it was suddenly one in the morning where he was, so probably even later back home in Chicago, and he'd tell himself he'd call in the morning. Of course, he'd stupidly not write a note to remind himself to make that phone call in the morning, and the next day he'd spend far too much time thinking, 'There was something I was supposed to do today,' but he'd never remember what. And then he'd be touching down at O'Hare only to find that Cody or Gavin or whoever wasn't waiting for him like they had agreed, and he'd slap himself, because he'd realize he basically ignored him the entire tour.

Within a year of living together Eddie knew something was off with Richie. He seemed more jittery around the three month mark when he would go to see his parents, especially if he was late setting out from the apartment for the two hour drive back to Derry, but when he returned he was fine - relieved even. It was like there was some tense reason for his visits these days and it made Eddie curious. It was a tension that was never there before and it was sparking something inside of him - something protective.

Neibolt Eddie finds his calling immediately after gaining sentience, and that's to make Richie his. Not the Richie he lived with, with the wooden flesh and maggot-infested face, no. He wanted the real deal. Unfortunately for him, so did Eddie Kaspbrak.
