He watches a man run so many unsaid thoughts at once he reminds him of a fuming kettle. The Imbibitor Lunae he knows wouldn't be so indecisive, so sheepish. But Dan Feng has changed, hasn't he?
He uncrossed his arms and stepped forward, "Dan Heng," it's not venom what drips from his mouth when he says his name, though it's nothing less dangerous, "What do you want?"

Summary
Dan Heng rarely gets sick.
He never expected sickness to come, actually. As his body had sustained harsh conditions, weathers, explosions—and even the vivid memory of the dark chambers surrounding his frail, malnourished body—starving him of light, of warmth, of basic necessities. Hands of the past gripping his ankles, harsh enough for him to feel the chill of it years later, stopping him from feeling whole—constantly running, despite everyone around him telling him there’s nothing to run away from—could he ever understand himself?
Could his mind ever stop? For once showing care towards himself instead of wandering around incidents of the past? Dan Heng thought about the sheer boredom of this cycle, until a voice echoed near awoke him from the tangle of his mind—Blade's voice.

The sharp daggers of the dragon's teeth prick against the aged skin. Dan Feng bites gently and pulls on it, drawing out a quiet grunt.
“I’m afraid if I let myself be selfish now, I won’t be the same man you knew.” Dan Feng meets those eyes he had grown to be so enamored with. Softer, pale eyes that betrayed the lust and undeniable fear beneath them.
“I’m not a coward.” Yingxing spat back, confident as ever. “Bite me.”
Dan Feng has been holding back for far too long.

Summary
Narinder entertains the Lamb and endeavors to remain patient with them because “he wants the Lamb to be utterly, completely devoted to him.” Unbeknownst to him, the Lamb has been deeply devoted from the beginning, and he harbors increasingly concerning emotions towards the Lamb that he doesn’t quite know how to handle.
The Lamb promised to provide joy for both he and his disciples. Narinder envisioned it—how nice the breath of fresh grass would be, how warm the covers of a bed might be like on his fur, how curious his travels with the Lamb will feel. Then all at once his foolishness washed over his back like cold water. Narinder frowned deeply, and emotions that he refused to define as yearning quickly contorted into wrath. Thoughts paced rapidly through his mind—The Lamb made him this way, the Lamb passed on their foolishness to him, and he has been charmed by the Lamb. He felt no longer like a god, no. He felt sick within his body. He was nothing more than a weak and bumbling clown, harvesting feelings for a mortal playing as a false deity.
… But try as he might, he could not deny his raging emotions any longer.

The teal of Firefly’s favorite dress, when she’d beg him to mend a new tear or burn or bullet hole, because she’d never learned how to sew.
The green of Dan Heng’s eyes, the same shade that haunted the dreams he so rarely had to begin with.

“You make it sound so simple,” Blade muttered bitterly, before his expression and voice seemed to soften imperceptibly. “I… didn’t expect this.”
Or; Dan Heng finally stops running. Can the shadows of two people who loved each other in a previous life salvage something from the ashes of their tragic shared past? Dan Heng isn’t sure, but most importantly after learning the truth, he’s willing to try. Over several nights spent in each other’s presence, he and Blade find a way to move forward, together.
