“You’re that Leon,” Claire frowns. She’d seen the streamers, the sign welcoming in the West Office, and his desk that was glamoured up. Everything must have gone to hell when he arrived and got somewhat accumulated. She tucked the ID away in her pocket, “I’m sorry this happened to you,” she murmurs, quieter, solemner. Clearing her throat, she sat up straighter, “Maybe you’re the key to this, for a cure or whatever. That’s got to be the reason you aren’t… entirely bloodthirsty.”
Zombie Boy—Leon—turned briefly to groan at her before returning to finish off the carcass. It’s the best response she’ll get for now, and it makes her grin slightly. She ruffles his damp hair as she stands, and he doesn’t react.
Leon goes to his new job on time.
A couple of days later, Claire makes a friend.

Summary
"Can I…” Leon turned slightly to face her, hesitant as he gestured to Emily.
“O-oh- yes, of course.” Grace sat up a little, adjusting Emily in her arms in more of a carrying position before gently handing her off to Leon. She watched as Emily’s eyes fluttered open for a second, clocking the second she realized who was holding her and she shifted slightly closer, one of her arms coming up to grasp Leon’s t-shirt loosely before she fell back into slumber with a content noise. Smiling softly, Grace glanced up to Leon’s face before her expression fell. He looked devastated, curling his arms around the small girl more securely and sinking back into the couch cushions as if he was being physically pressed into them.
“… Sorry.” He whispered when he realised that Grace was watching him, and she shook her head.
“It’s okay.”

After a mission gone wrong, Leon and Sherry return home and Grace tries to help with the aftermath.
