After four months of waiting, Rey - who has serious abandonment issues - decides it's time to pick up the shattered pieces of her life and move on. What happens when Ben and Rey unexpectedly run into each other the following December at a New York City gala? Can what was broken be rebuilt? And what secrets will be revealed?
UPDATE DEC. 24, 2024 -- I got to thinking about this story from a year ago. In particular about the characters and where they would be today. I was inspired to write a couple of new chapters to satisfy my own curiosity. I hope you will enjoy them as much as I've enjoyed revisiting the tale.
