He wasn’t sure if it was the heat, ever present and reaching a fever pitch without the weak, ancient AC droning on its lowest setting to save electricity costs, the sudden darkness covering both of them in pitch and only marginally combated with the flashlight, mostly veiling his face, or the storm brewing around them that had Benson’s jaw so loose and languid.
He felt like an overworked dog. Panting and huffing with its tongue lolling out of its maw, saliva dripping.

Grace's mouth, still smushed against my xenonite, curves upward: Contentment, happiness, satisfaction. Interesting, that it should be prone to smiling when made stupid by ethanol, but not so much when it gets stupid because of a lack of sleep.

In which we explore some of the off-screen time between game scenes. Team bonding, dispatching, character studies, and various donuts eaten while on the job. Focus is mostly platonic and team-dynamics because I really really want more screen time with the other members of Z-Team... but I am also an action and angst writer, so buckle up. Not ACTUALLY writing a non-romantic Robert so much as Robert who is too fucking exhausted to do anything about, like, dating in Season 1? Something like that.
