Superman is seen as a symbol of hope, safety, strength and immeasurable power. However, life is still life, and death comes with it.
Clark Kent has his life made. He wakes up to the voices of his adored wife and the laughter of his 20 month-old baby. He goes to work in a respectable enterprise that keeps him informed of what's happening in Metropolis, the city he loves and vowed to protect, because he is also the superhero that does that.
Life does not spare anyone and it does not show mercy even to the best of the best.
So who will help Clark stand back up when he falls?
Superman may have the Justice League but who can Clark Kent count on?

The Count does not take his olive-toned eyes off Kiyoomi, analysing him and dissecting every careful movement he makes as though judging when best to pounce. It takes Kiyoomi several seconds to decipher the peculiar twist in his gut. It is not anxiety, though he dreads the imminent conversation. Nor is it infatuation, though Ushijima is arguably one of the most striking men Kiyoomi has ever laid eyes on.
No, it is the startling dread that settles in the bones of foxes when the whistle is blown and the dogs begin to howl as they follow the scent. The feeling that somehow, he is being hunted.
