Holmes was used to injuries, as they were exceedingly common in his line of work. He often encountered violence, whether it resulted in a few bruises or cuts. In this instance, it was both.
He did not find injuries troubling. The rain, on the other hand, was an entirely different matter.

Left to his own devices, Watson might never have gone outside again. He quite liked the rooms which he was renting, as well as the man with whom he shared them. He liked the landlady as well, particularly as Mrs. Hudson did not seem to mind his tendency to hide in his rooms and never leave.
Holmes didn’t seem to mind either, exactly, but he was quite persistent in coaxing Watson outside.
