This definitely wasn’t the ideal time to be having this conversation, and there was definitely something wrong with Cale’s brain. He should be hurrying to make sure everything was being properly prepared for them to travel to Uvar.

Ron was somewhat troubled by the whimpering pup he held against the wall with one hand. The acrid scent of heat permeated the air of Cale’s bedroom. He was distantly aware of the dog that would certainly bite his hand later, but the trouble was that he was far more interested in seeing how this pup would beg instead of following the logical conclusion of providing his charge with a suppressant.
