“When they debriefed us about our replacement person earlier.” The man behind him huffed, somewhat amused yet lacking it at the same time.
“Wait- what happened to the other guy?” The clueless man inquired, unable to remember the entire conversation the staff likely gave to him.
“Went missing.” A third voice interrupted, arms crossed as he made it to the front of the ship. “You wouldn’t happen to know anything about that, would you newbie?”

“Should we show the newbie the instructions?” Yumi suddenly asked, looking at the newbie in question.
“Hell yeah, turn them lights off!” Kryoz yelled excitedly, standing up and grabbing Smii7y’s arm to push him down into the chair he previously sat in.
Smii7y was startled, body tensing as the chair was rolled to in front of the tv.
“You’re unpredictable.” Smii7y chuckled anxiously, looking up at Kryoz.
“Don’t let em’ know your next move.” Kryoz simply winked back at him, the glass allowing just a barely see-through glimpse of the action.
Yumi found the light switch and flicked it down, making all lights within the ship shutoff except for the illumination from the tv, monitors, and the terminal.
“Fuck yes!” Kryoz cheered, leaning over Smii7y comfortably as if it were normal. “I’m ready for movie night, baby!”
“You’ve watched this so many times already…” Eli muttered, his eyes squinting at the man.
“And yet my boredom is never satiated.” Kryoz sassed, sticking his tongue out at the man.

“Why are you awake at a time like this anyway, if you don’t mind me asking?” Puffer asked, changing the subject.
“Why are you?” Smii7y redirected the question.
“Depending on my sleep schedule I stream early. This is one of those days.” Puffer replied, humoring him before grabbing a spatula out of one of the drawers nearby and placing it with the food items. “Now are you going to answer me?” Puffer turned his head slightly to make eye contact with Smii7y. The latter of which looked away too quickly.
“Nightmare.” He answered quickly, getting the embarrassing truth over with.

“OJ, perfect timing!” Em pulls the door open further. “Thoughts on Angel’s new hair? We need a third opinion.”
OJ stares at Angel in the mirror. Angel stares back, heart thudding, hair dripping once, twice, into the sink. He feels like he’s at the top of a rollercoaster, waiting for the second he drops hundreds of feet down.
“Looks good,” OJ says, voice low and sweet, syrup-thick. Angel wants to taste it right out of OJ’s mouth.
“Hear that, Angel?” Em turns around to face the mirror, smile dangerously smug, “He thinks you look good.”
