Summary
Phainon can't stop thinking about that dream.
After Mydei leaves with the kid, he has no choice but to shower before heading to work. A peek in the mirror takes enough to regret the moment he said goodbye to Mydei at the front door, looking deplorable like a wet dog in the streets.
Not even soaking his head in cold water manages to clear his mind properly, so this time he even makes himself extra coffee, knowing he will need all the energy to face the day he has ahead. It's been so long since he dreamed. He's never been someone with vivid dreams—or at least if he had, he doesn't remember them.
Now the first thing he does in months is dream about the kid they've fostered, accusing him of killing someone, of all the possibilities.
Or, the story where Phainon and Mydei live as roommates, but they barely exchange words. At least until they find themselves taking care of a kid together, and memories of a distant life mix with the present, presenting in the form of dreams.

“Ready, Master?” He murmured, one of his hands trailing up to stroke the sunburst on the side of his neck.
“Don't,” Phainon choked, feeling much too warm, his pants a little too tight. He felt dizzy when Mydei cocked his head and smirked, his wandering hand now fiddling with his choker.
“Don't…call me that,” Phainon managed, his voice embarrassingly ragged. Mydei's index finger hooked under the choker, making Phainon swallow, the bob of his Adam's apple making his skin brush against that scorching finger.
“Deliverer, then?” He asked, pulling Phainon closer by the finger under his choker. He followed like a dog on a leash, swallowing again, his throat parched.
Phainon had prepared for the Holy Grail War all his life, what he did not account for is for his Servant to be so gorgeous.

When it comes to predatory, soul-sucking gacha games, Cosmic Impact Rail Zero was probably the worst of the worst. Did it have incredible characters? Yes. An engaging storyline? Double yes. Did it make Mydei want to blow his entire paycheck on weapons and skins and more rolls? Of course it did.
But it also killed off basically every character in the game, including the crown prince that shared Mydei's name– Mydeimos the Undying, Son of Gorgo. How the hell was that even possible?! He literally had undying in his title!?
So when the developers ask for feedback, Mydei goes off on a heated tangent– and finds himself reincarnated as his namesake. You know– the doomed prince, destined for a life of hardship? Destined to die?
Not if Mydei has anything to say about it.

Chapter Thirteen: A radical solution to the calamity facing Ethyris is posed: the summoning of the primal Zodiark. Unable to accept the sacrifice of half of their population, Azem raises their grievances and resigns from the Convocation of Fourteen.
Chapter Fourteen: After their last dance, the Warrior of Light is resigned to the fate of never seeing Zenos ever again. Zenos, however, does not have the same idea.
