There weren’t many of them left. Not that the general hybrid population was down, obviously not that, but that so many of her friends had all fled.
And the thing was: it was supposed to be impossible. The city was so guarded, the power roles ever so present, and humans wielded so. Many. Guns. You weren’t supposed to be able to survive, let alone escape.
