The pain is what truly woke her.
Not the pain of the cold stone digging into her knees and ankles. Not Uncomfortable sitting position she had been chained into or the manacled that bit into her wrists. Nor the pain in her hand, the foreign magic burning into her bones and veins that pulsed irregularly and made it so she could feel every ridge and groove of her fingerprints.
While yes that was greater, the pain on her back that made her eyes water her mind feel fuzzy is what woke her. It felt like cold fire pressed into her skin and thinking about it too hard made it worse like she should be screaming but can't get the air to scream or open her mouth to let it out.- Language:
