His intake parted wide and again nothing came out. Not a sound not a choke not a scream not a howl— why couldn’t he scream? Only laughter, only chiffling grinding laughter shrieking through his systems until it’d catch and burst into flames and his frame would twist and writhe and melt like a reed caught in the scorching end of the Wastes.
Until a shrill scree lurched free of the bars of its rattling metal cage finally finally. And couldn’t he laugh? Couldn’t he laugh about that? He laughed and he laughed and chiffled pealing cackling howls until his systems went beyond raw to agony, shoving along into a corner skittering at the walls of his processor—
“Sprocket?”
...
He stared up into glowing optics. That weren’t blue exactly. More of a white. More of a horrified rough rasp.
What was Ratchet doing here?

A vibratey buzzing feeling bubbles up inside me, and I vibrate. “It’s awesome! That’s my name! I’m Hot Rod!”
She laughs, ruffling at my helm. “Sure are. You’re a regular Hot Rodding Roddy.”
“I’m a Hot Rodding Roddy~”Hot Rod wakes up for the first time, and the world is a strange and interesting place, full of wonders, and big bots who laugh a lot at you for no particular reason.
His first executive decision as a walking, talking being is to create a family by recruiting his siblings and adopting a nice, big bot.

(Armada/Unicron trilogy continuity soup. Based in Armada (and Energon) characters but with cherry-picking of practically everything else and then some)
Five years after his life ended, forgotten and left to the mercies of the Decepticons in a prison camp, Hot Shot continues to exist in a living hell. A grey hell populated by the dead and the dying, their sparks still pulsing in their chambers, but their hopes extinguished.
Here, at the end of everything.
And it's here, after five long years, that he finds what he didn't expect. Something new. Something he thought he'd lost.
A spark, a flicker, just a fragile glimmer so easily crushed underfoot....
And he finds that maybe, just maybe, this isn't the end.

The little golden sparkling shivered on the rough ground, cold lights gazing down from a tall being that crackled of hard stone and barren metal without hues or colour, like the polished walls.
"We... we didn't want to risk that it might have an adverse affect on the other half, sir."
A soft hiss made his being tremble. "I'm sure."
"The other would react if any move was made towards its twin.... It refused to... to subsume the little one."
There was another presence nearby, one that echoed his and always had. Deep blue lights that chirped at him — a sunbeam of curiosity oblivious to the chill, dark tendrils looming above them. He lay there limp, a deep red/crimson and black/white, little points on his head twitching.
The golden one reached a black hand forward — reaching out to that small, oblivious sense.
"Well, it's forged now. There's no risk to this one. I suppose it's large enough not to make a difference if this fragment isn't absorbed."Not every forging is a happy beginning. There are some things that shouldn't happen, but do.

A low grunt rumbled in his engine as he took the next piece he’d already cleaned out and checked, glancing up.
The view stretched out in front of them, Iacon glittering in the light, the sun wavering on the horizon in a heat haze and turning the sky shades of bright orange, red, and greenish-purplish-lavender-blue. It was like a painting. Under his plating, the squirming burn in his lines died down a little as his hand absently brushed his chestplating, a quiet cycle sighing from his vents.
Sunny could’ve described it better.---
Sometimes war takes more from you than it gives. Sideswipe sequesters himself in a lonely place, and a friend decides to swing by and check on him.

Summary
This is basically just a collection of stories set within my own personal soup-pot of an AU — a wondrous amalgamation of every other headcanon I find fun, a fair amount of canon randomly plucked from the aether, and some elements of mine own from my imagination to fill the gaps. Yet more elements are eternally added as I am always on the lookout for new
worlds to devourbits and pieces to assimilate.
I hungerrrr >:DCurrently there's really no order to these and they don't need to be read in any order. It's just a collection of bits and bobs. Will hopefully change as I hopefully continue writing stuff.

It's all well and good to say no one's allowed to talk about their pasts, but what's an armed organization supposed to do when said pasts are running loose on their ship, completely unaware that their very existence is classified?
(Or, in which the author misuses canonically handwavey GN particle science for deaging fic purposes)

Their constant checking in with each other during the gameplay broke me okay.
