He wakes up to a throbbing headache, and the driest, scratchiest throat ever.
Skandar hadn’t been sick since way before he arrived at the Eyrie. That was ..at-least almost a year and a half ago. He’d almost forgotten how awful it was. But he’d been so busy being a unicorn rider he hadn’t thought of the risk of training even while it’s raining.
And that’s what he did yesterday, so now he’s suffering the consequences. Go Skandar!!

Skandar is running, he’s always been good at running— well, no, not really. He always used to get dizzy during PE lessons because he’d never have eaten enough food, but when there wasn’t much. You did have to ration, Yknow?
Skandar is good at leaving, he decides, He is great at leaving his family behind, his life back on the mainland, like a total, complete selfish piece of shit. That’s what he is.
He could’ve stayed with Kenna, Stayed with his father. He could’ve just never left with Agatha- His aunt. His mum was the weaver, but if he stayed he would’ve never known. Or would he? Well, there’s no point in thinking about the past when he’s about to die.

Original title was ‘Running away is easy (It’s the leaving that’s hard)’ but I didn’t think it fit that well ^^

Instead, he swore as he skidded to a stop to change his course, deciding to head west.
"Will—just stop and talk to us! Please!"
"Chances of getting him back?"
"Lower than a penguin's ass."
Will had passed out again. But instead of waking up to seeing everyone relieved, he instead heard something he never thought he'd hear. And so, deciding to take matters into his own hands, he hauls ass into the night.

"You don't know. You...you don't know. I can't..." Peter gripped clumps of his hair. Frantic.
" Peter... You need to breathe---"
"Don't! Don't come any closer!"
"...Peter---"
"No, no! I'm not in control!" Peter was suddenly startled, looking around the room like he heard something no one else did. "Get out! Get out of my head!"
And with that, Tony finally stopped. In fact, he took a few steps back.
