Beautiful and deadly and kept in a tank, and despite the danger of the situation, despite the fact that he was clearly very capable of killing you if he felt like it, you couldn't turn your back on him. Doubly so when a mer-child was unexpectedly added to the mix.
Really, what were you supposed to do but help them escape and hope you'd survive that experience? And why was that dangerous mer watching you like that?

A siren with eyes bluer than the sky and sea combined and hair the color of shimmering frost. Where others saw a divinely beautiful creature all you saw was death smiling back at you.
