Summary
“Sorry...” Simon abruptly said, his voice faint. Felix listened intently as Simon continued.
He sighed, a warm pink dusting his cheeks. “’M not... good... at this stuff like you.” He softly chuckled to himself while stretching his left arm over Felix’s shoulders, his thumb rubbing along his shoulder blade in a quaint way of self soothing.
Just as Simon felt the silence begin to dig itself into his chest, Felix let out another tiny huff of laughter, almost inaudible through the ambient air conditioning, and Simon couldn’t help smiling at the sound.
He turned to look at the blonde, not bothering to mask the confusion on his face.
“Sure you are,” he supplied as he turned his head to Simon, the fond grin on his face growing as their eyes met. Felix’s smile always seemed to relax something deep within the brunette in a way nothing else could. He brought his right hand up to Simon’s, -still placed on his arm- and gently intertwined their fingers.
Simon nearly shivered at how cold his hands were. He wouldn’t have it any other way.

"It didn’t take him long to realize this obsession was mutual.
When he found out Gi-hun hired people to search for him, he was embarrassingly flattered. It wasn’t a threat, if anything it felt like a compliment.
It felt like flirting."

Leading up to a pact between him and Gi-hun, where they are forced to trust each other to topple the games. And compelled to inevitably see behind the facade of the other person.

Summary
“Grace how old, question?”
Grace blinks, lifting his head up from the cool metal of the lab table where he’s been nursing a headache for the last hour. Caffeine withdrawal, he thinks, having finally run out of coffee four months into their four year journey to Erid.
“Thirty—uh…” His mind blanks for a second, forgetting to calculate the four years he spent in a coma, and the still slightly patchy memories that have come back from his life. “Thirty-six, I think? Give or take a year or two.”
Or: Rocky finds out how long humans live and crashes out.

Summary
L was taken too quickly, too soon.
But it had been Light’s end goal, hadn’t it?
“This is who you are,” he said, voice somehow pressing down on Light like a comforting hand atop a shaking one. “I am who you could’ve been.”
It didn’t take much. Light was shaking his head before he could change his face and school his expression. Before he could feel anything.
“No,” Light responded, the word seemingly passing right through L. “You’re who I could’ve been with.”
OR
L is dead; Light Yagami has won. But the loneliness he finds thereafter is disturbed by visions of a man who never could let Light bask in his victory. Morals are questioned, and the air is cleared — for better or for worse.
