Summary
The eve of Jimmy’s christening, Audrey comforts Siegfried amidst his worries about Tristan’s sudden return. When the unexpected night in his bed fulfills none of her fantasies, she bitterly accepts the fact that he doesn’t want her. He must not.
But then he insists on the contrary… While refusing to pursue anything more between them…
Confused and hurt by Siegfried’s belated claims that he IS attracted to her and persisting lack of action, Audrey takes matters into her own hands. He’ll fold eventually. At least she hopes he will before she does.
