Another annoying downside to Subspace's condition is that she has to change her bandages every single night, having to clean her wounds before she can even think of going to bed. But because of the inconvenience of it all, she usually ends up skipping the whole ordeal entirely.
Unfortunately, it's pretty hard to do so these days when her girlfriend is both a doctor, and the most stubborn person she knows.

Winter renders the ground unstable. And unfortunately for Medkit, who had been in a hurry to get home after work, she was bound to slip on that unforgiving ice, tumbling down the stairs onto the harsh ground below.
A hospital trip and a few days later she's... Fine, she supposed. A couple of scrapes here and there, a broken leg — but she's fine. And because she's so fine, she figures there's no need to alert anyone of her mishap (other than Sword, seeing as he unfortunately already bore witness to the incident), deciding she would handle things on her own. Because that's what she always does. She doesn't need help.
To her dismay, Subspace disagreed.

"You're right, you're right, I'm sorry." She soothes, tucking her hair behind her ear, before she plants a ginger kiss to her cheek, "Thank you."

Blackrock’s weather was particularly cold and brutal this time of year. Medkit didn't like this cold. In an ideal world, he would choose not to stay in Blackrock, despite how badly seen it was for inphernals to leave their factions. At the limit, he would even be ready to leave behind all the work he's put so much heart into. So what’s really keeping him there?
Despite his conflicted feelings, Medkit cares enough about his colleague, Subspace, not to leave him. If he left, Subspace would despise him, rightfully so. And without Subspace, Medkit would be all alone out there.
Subspace is satisfied with what he has: a plan to achieve greatness and a hardworking coworker by his side. He never did put effort into becoming any closer than colleagues with Medkit, he didn't see the need for it.
