Summary
So, it seems to be the general consensus that Constantine just doesn't really work in a super setting. That everything after he got merged into the general DCU was terrible and poorly written, and that it's impossible to make him work with supers.
And as much as I agree everything after he got added to the DCU was terrible, I disagree that it's impossible to do it right.
So I figured I'd give it a shot. To retell several of my favourite Hellblazer stories, but with involvement and significant crossover with other DCU characters, concepts and settings, starting with an (very) extended version of issue #140, and moving on to The Family Man.
I'm hoping to do a total of five 9 chapter stories, 40,000 words each, with the first four being loosely connected and readable alone, but with a big climax story that ties off all the plot points properly at the end. Once I'm done with The Family Man, I'll be doing Son of Man, The Golden Child arc... and then the climax, the details of which shall remain secret, for now.

Summary
John Constantine is in trouble.
Years ago, he bound a parasitic, shapeshifting demon into the body of mob boss Harry Cooper's son, and now it might be loose.
John finds himself trapped in Harry Cooper's mansion, at a party full of supervillains all vying for Harry's favour. From Penguin, to Mandragora, to the Central City Rogues, they're all busy pursuing their own agendas with Harry Cooper, whilst John desperately tries to track down the demon without getting entangled in their machanations.
After all, it's not like he could trust them even if they haven't been taken over by a body-stealing demon, now is it?A retelling of the "Son of Man" comic arc with the involvement of other superheroes and villains, mostly the Central City Rogues, which spins off in wildly different directions as a result. Also heavily inspired by John Carpenter's The Thing.
Frankly, more The Thing than Son of Man, but i'm trying, goddammit!Series

Summary
A re-telling of The Family Man comic arc set in Gotham, starting almost identically to the original comic and spinning off in wildly different directions due to the involvement of other DC comics characters and superheroes.
John Constantine has made a tragic mistake. He's accidentally sold an occult device to a major supervillain. Desperate to make it right, he rushes headlong to Gotham to try to stop them before they can enact their sinister plot, hampered by only one thing.
The fact he doesn't really understand the world of superheroics at all.
