Summary
Gossan can't keep staring at the ceiling and worrying. Waiting for morning will put them in a terrible mood which is going to make Obsidian nervous when they come to say their good-bye in the morning. With a huff they kick their blankets up and get up to get ready for the day.
There are still a few hours before they can go wait for Obsidian in Zero-G cave. If they show up too soon, Hornfels will inevitably find out they didn't sleep and fret. That's okay though, Gossan still needs to sew the patch on to the hatchlings flight jacket anyways. They are hoping that the surprise will put the young pilot into a more confident space.
A series of one-shots of Gossan reflecting on their relationship with pilot-types. Starting with the loss of Feldspar and ending with the end of universe.

Summary
No one really knows what to expect in the Outer Wilds, past some very educated guesses. There are still dangers to discover at every turn, but Outer Wilds Ventures has done well enough for themselves using an advanced combination of research and luck. That seems to be enough, until it really isn't and Timber Hearth's finest astronaut gets themselves stranded in Dark Bramble. Now no one knows what to do next, but it's the Hearthian way to carry on.
