Summary
“Okay,” Mike said slowly, trying to keep his voice calm, “we’ll figure it out step by step. No pressure. I’ll… I’ll help you practice control, see how far you can go without, you know, frying the house.”
Will peeked up at him, just enough to see the shy smile tugging at Mike’s lips. “I… I don’t even know if that’ll work,” he admitted, voice soft. “What if it doesn’t? What if it just keeps happening?”
Mike shook his head firmly. “It will work. And if it doesn't, we’ll find something else. We always do.”
Will’s lips quirked in the faintest hint of a smile. “You’re right. We always do.”
Mike leaned forward, careful not to crowd him, “First we need to try to find a way to turn the lights back on. Reverse what you did. Do you think you can–” He gestures towards Will’s crotch, a blush crossing his cheeks, “--Go again?”OR: Will finds himself unable to control his new powers when he gets aroused. Every time he gets "excited," strange things happen with the power. He tries to convince himself it's a coincidence, but when he finishes, and the power goes completely out, he begins to panic.
His panic takes him straight to Mike's window, and Mike offers a helping hand. In a best friend way, of course.- Language:

I really don’t know if I’ll like it or what the vibe is. But I’m here anyway:
"Will-"
Will pauses on the top, hand on the door. He turns around, meeting Mike with a gaze he's never seen before.
"Just so you know, Mike," He turns the knob, stepping outside, "Sucking my dick -and liking it- is pretty fucking gay."
He slams the door. -

Summary
Mike grabs Will’s hands and tangles them with his own, blinking up at him through his long, dark lashes. His eyes are endless. Solid black, like the night above them. So shiny that Will can see himself, tipsy and happy, in the reflection. “I want to be stuck with you,” Mike whispers, like it’s a secret. “I don’t ever want to leave.”
Will sucks in a sharp breath, squeezing his hands. “Then don’t,” he whispers back, punched-out and honest. “Stay.”

“Ripped my heart out, stomped on it, fixed it, then tore it apart and burnt it.”
Okay I understand where they’re coming from but I recovered. Basically Will is given like a perfect dreamscape, which he has to give up and leave. Then (after a 6 month coma) he has to go back to normal life and El saw parts of the dream and basically said she’s not mad u were dating my bf (mileven broke up around the same time as Will went into the coma),, and said they weren’t in love (mutually) and she didn’t love him the way Will loved Mike.
Anyway so Will talks to Jonathon cause he thinks he’s a monster for liking Mike and ‘using him’ and indulging himself or whatever. And jonathons like nah man ur good. Angst over basically
After avoiding Mike like forever, he finally talks and alludes to the fact they were smth more in the dream (I was so scared, like I’m still traumatised) and Mike eggs him on and it’s supposed to be teasing but honestly I was too wound up for that and I couldn’t even read it in that tone. They kiss they love eachother it’s reminiscent of the dream. And that’s basically it aside from Mike lowkey competing with his dream self.
I think there could have been a lot more care and time out into this fic and I would have cared more. They just went to fast and didn’t dwell on enough emotional beats, which is like a problem especially given wills whole fear of just being that horrible queer and then dragging that out in his confession would have been like fire (not explicitly saying it) but Mike being ambiguous or him having to reassure Will or go off on his own monologue about his journey. Like smth else rather than a teasing oh we were dating in ur dream which somehow signalled kiss me.
The best scene was with Will and Jonathon but that was short lived I almost cried.
