Part 1, Ch. 1-9 A complete backstory for the movie with it's own arc!
Part 2, Ch. 10-? Launching into the movie timeline with my own twist::She hadn’t interacted with Superman very much by the time Clark got hired—just that one rescue when he stopped the runaway train, the Ocean Avenue Elevated. Lois saw it at once, but no one else did. It was madding and inexplicable.
Obviously investigation had to happen. Clark might seem like an all-American sweetheart of a guy, and Superman might seem to have a moral code, but Lois was very much in the “absolute power corrupts absolutely” camp of thought, and she was—dubious. If he was really so powerful, what was he doing for himself? What were his vices? How did he indulge? Nobody seemed to know, and that turned her from dubious to highly suspicious.

Summary
Rey stays busy as a nanny, living and working (and paying off debt) at a fancy estate on Kingstree Island, SC. But one Sunday evening, free and a little bored, she crashes a wealthy neighbor's beach party. She enjoys the harmless outing until she catches the eye of an elite guest. Even then, a brief flirtation would only be a fun, unusual memory to take home with her... But he steps on a piece of glass on the beach, and Rey is too practical (and kind) to leave him to it. It's only when his arm is around her shoulders, and he asks her to help him hobble back to his house, that she realizes Ben is actually her absentee-employer. He is Adele's father, who she hasn't actually met yet, other than phone interviews.
Ben is more amused than horrified that he accidentally hit on Adele's nanny. But he's done a lot of work on himself and he's determined to be both a better dad and a better person. He'll be professional with Rey. Except that he has to hide a lot more than an inconvenient attraction. She doesn't know she's the sole normie in a house currently housing two selkies, a cyclops, a werewolf, and a vampire.
Ben tries, but how long can a selkie resist the instinct to give his heart away?

Summary
Kara is at the end of her nursing shift when a violent man is brought in with an arrow wound. When he spits blood on her, Kara is transported elsewhere. Soon she's doing emergency wound care on book characters and trying not to lose it. She can't watch people suffer even if it isn't real, but Aragorn is very suspicious of a woman who tells no clear story and smells like an orc.
“Stranger things have happened than you or I have years to tell of it," Gandalf said. "Why does she unsettle you? Surely you do not feel threatened. I am tolerably certain you could defeat her if it came to violence.”
Aragorn scoffed at his gentle humor. “I’m glad to amuse you. There are more dangers than warriors and swords. Need I tell a wizard that?"
“I can assure you she is not evil and has not a whisper of magic.”
“Yet a beautiful woman appears directly in our path, leagues from civilization, and immediately gains the hobbits’ trust. No wizardry, you say?”
Kara was not *unhappy* at being called a beautiful woman (although his standards for human women, as opposed to elves, were probably low), but she was unhappy to be stuck eavesdropping. She’d seen this scene too many times in movies. They would definitely see her. -

Constance is an enhanced person who was informally adopted by Vanessa and Wilson Fisk as a child. She grew up knowing "Uncle Wilson" wasn't quite right, but she loved Vanessa. As an adult who is even more leery of Uncle Wilson, Constance is cautiously hopeful when he is prosecuted and sent away. Maybe she and Vanessa can finally be free of all those entanglements. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be shaping up that way.
Matt met his soulmate in an alley--where else?--but she didn't recognize the symptoms of their soulbond. As he realizes who and what she is, he’s torn between anger and efficiency. She has a lot of information on the Fisks, and he can use their connection against her… But Matt's conscience (and Foggy) won’t let that fly for long. -

Tyler frowned a little. Kate hadn’t cracked an inch, except for a slight waver when she said New York. He was willing to bet good money she was hoping against hope that he didn’t have those words.
That was almost hurtful. If he was less sure of himself, it might even sting.
But by the time she said it, he’d clocked her reluctance, her poker face. Whether it was personal or not, he wasn’t the kind of guy to force her in the moment. He had more game than that, and besides, what kind of story would that be to tell their grandkids?
Maybe she pretended she didn’t have his words because of his reputation, or maybe she was one of those who resented the idea of soulmates, or maybe she just wanted him to try a little harder… Whatever it was, he was gonna find out.

Cordelia, the sister of Boromir and Faramir, is betrothed to Theodred! She is uncertain about it, but they are hitting if off. I’m already grieving losing him! Also fascinated to see the difference to Eowyn and Grima’s situation if Cordelia is there. I think eventually Aragorn/OC.
I cried my way through Theodred’s death, and then she found out about Boromir almost at once! 😭 Her being friends with Eowyn is everything. She stitched up Aragorn before the battle of Helms Deep, and he told her how Arwen had left and he hadn’t stopped her.

Summary
She woke up in a hospital bed under the name HYacinth Doe. Doctor Bruce Banner told her she had been rescued from a HYDRA facility, along with evidence that their scientists had ripped her out of her universe and into theirs, granting her healing powers in the process.
The problem is, the Avengers aren't even *real* in her universe. Banner and all the others look like the actors that portray them, and even though Director Fury is gratified to hear he's just as badass where she comes from, she's not sure the others would feel the same. Her biggest challenge isn't actually being asked to join the Avengers, but figuring out how to hide her crush on her favorite character, Tony Stark. At first, that's not a problem--he doesn't trust her. It's when he doubles down on his theory about her origins that things get tricky.
