Anthony didn't understand why he was so drawn to A.Z. Fell and Co. He didn't understand why this place felt more like home than his apartment, or why he couldn't stop thinking of the bookseller. He didn't know why his car kept bringing him here, even though he was certain he didn't know the route, or why the owner never locked their doors. If he believed in any of that nonsense, he would have said that he had loved the bookseller in a past life or something else equally ridiculous.

Rosa barks out a laugh, reaching for the bottle of polish near her computer monitor. “Damn, Santiago,” she says, “you got so drunk last night you forgot what day of the month it is. Pretty sure that’s the Santiago equivalent of forgetting how to speak English.”
“Last - we didn’t - I was home watching Jeopardy last night -”
Rosa looks genuinely confused now. “No, we went to the bar last night. You got super drunk. Started crying because you lost your napkin. It was hilarious. Did you completely black out or something?”
Amy can barely hear the end of Rosa’s question over the blood suddenly pounding through her ears. Adrenaline and nausea and something else, some odd cross between dread and excitement fills the pit of her belly and explodes through her veins all at once -
She’s reliving March 28th.
Which means she now officially has feelings for her soulmate.

Raphael is, apparently, a rich as fuck vampire, because the suit shop they go in is fancy as hell. They park in the basement, because, uh, sunlight, and even though dusk has fallen it’s better to be safe than sorry (sorry meaning dead). Raphael keeps smirking, which does nothing to help Simon’s inner mantra that consists of
I’m straight, I’m straight holy fuck is he licking his lip- I’m straight..
“This,” the vampire announces as they walk into the shop, smiling faintly, looking, almost for the first time since Simon’s met him, as if he’s relaxed, “is the greatest place in the world, Simon Lewis.”
He looks at him then, grinning, eyes dark, shining, looking more polished than ever but somehow oddly vulnerable, and Simon’s breath hitches, his insides turning to goo.
His mantra becomes
Let me not jump him, or, at least, not in public..

Arthur could see his father glaring down - face red and eyes narrowed as he looked at Merlin with clear distaste.
"Once this over, sorcerer...I’ll burn you."
"You’ve already tried that," Merlin’s voice answered and Arthur had to bite his fist to keep from making any noise. “You need to accept you can’t kill me… Hand me that blanket, please.”
“I’m sure there must be some method… Beheading?”
“No, we tried that.”
“Hanging?”
“I just sort of... Swung there, remember?”
There was another pause.
“I should have made you keep that dragon below the castle so I could feed you to it.”
“Kilgharrah? He won’t eat me, but if you want to torture me than making me listen to his nonsense for an hour might do it.” Merlin said and there was a soft sigh from the other end of the room. “I’m glad you agreed to help me though. Usually I have to do the grunt work of saving Arthur myself.”
“I can’t wait to kill you.”
Or
Uther finds out about Merlin’s magic, but can’t seem to kill him. Merlin is just trying to protect Arthur. They become a begrudgingly effective duo. Arthur doesn't understand why they think he isn't noticing this.
